New York - Bulk Oil Facility:

A large Bulk Oil Facility in the metro NY area is using our OEL8000II and BX-PT1 pressure transducer to gauge their (2) 50' #2 fuel oil level tanks on the same 4 wire bus as their (5) 10' diameter underground tanks. The BX-PT1 offers them an inexpensive and easy way to monitor tanks up to and over 50' with an accuracy of +/- 1%. Because these transducers work off the same 4-wire bus as our leak sensors, they can monitor up to 22 tanks without individual home runs if they have future tank additions in mind. Since bulk facilities are rarely manned, they also set up our OMNTEC PC software for remote polling of level, alarm conditions (Hi, Low, Leak etc...)

At another bulk oil facility nearby we are monitoring a 35' fuel oil tank but with our flexible magnetostrictive probe which provides 2gph level monitoring, temperature sensing throughout the tank, and water detection. In order to better regulate the temperature of the product coming through the fuel line, we provided a modified BX-TC1 for liquid temperature sensing. It is mounted in a strategically located 3/4" opening of the fuel line.
